Components of Innovation

Students in ENTP100, for their 2nd Business idea, partnered with a local company to go after a Military Training SBIR. This was motivated by the need for military training to be more effective. The idea is that during training, military personnel will wear a special suit Components of Innovationwhich will provide a shock so that the personnel will receive more effective feedback when shot during training. The person will remember being shot in training, and will want to avoid being shot, and thus be motivated to learn better techniques of avoidance during training. More details to come...

WuffIT

Recognizing a need in the field of K-9 training for both technologically based and financially sustainable products the WuffIT project was born. Originating as an idea from Dr. Alison Brown of NAVSYS Corporation, she recognized that in order for one to purchase current products in both the tracking and training, requires a significant amount of financial backing. In fact some solutions currently offered cost upwards of $3,000 and this is just not a viable solution for the average homeowner. By taking the technology found in the modern cellphone and combining it with products found on the market, the WuffIT project team hopes to create a low cost solution that can be used in applications from the single dog owner, to dog training centers and perhaps even to military dog training. Creating a system that integrates the cellular GSM/GPRS data with the world wide GPS satellite network, the BI WuffIT team intends on creating a system that is low cost and has capabilities that a professional dog trainer and the average home owner can both use and appreciate.
