Open registration ended Monday, July 13th, but still a few rooms left!

Because of delays in the newsletter delivery we  went ahead and booked a few extra doom rooms (which are the parts that pushed the deadline back), we  we can handle a few more people, but please cond Dr. Terry Boult (tboult@vast.uccs.edu  or call/txt  719 963 0573) before filling out the deadline.

  • To answer some questions, we currently have a 50/50 split of  young men/women.
  • If you have a younger/older sibling (e.g. 10 and 12 graders) we can include both, as long as they really want to work together and one of them is an 11th or 12th grader.
  • You do not have to be a UCCS or BI student (or even planning on being one).

Join us for an exciting week of creativity, learning, and fun!

What is Innovation Camp?

  • Innovation Camp is a week-long summer opportunity for rising 111th and 12th grade students to learn about innovation by “doing innovation.”

  • Innovation Camp is an opportunity for students who love to create new ideas and do new things to learn how to move the new ideas forward and make and new things happen in the world.

  • Innovation Camp is the opportunity to work with UCCS faculty in bringing your ideas to life.

Learn to Innovate

  • Creativity: Learn proven techniques for generating high quality creative ideas

  • Design and Development: Design a new product or service (perhaps even a new game) and develop it into a viable business offering.

  • Entrepreneurship: Learn about money, markets, and management – the tools you’ll need to take your idea from concept to impact in the world.

  • Teamwork: Innovation is a team sportTM – improve your teamwork skills in fun and challenging tasks all week.

Who should participate?

  • Do you like coming up with new ideas to make things better?

  • Do you want to see your ideas implemented so others use them?

  • Do you like doing new things?

  • Do you want to make a difference?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then Innovation Camp is for you!

This is not a week to talk about innovation – it’s a week to do innovation

“Creativity is thinking new things. Innovation is doing new things.”

-- Theodore Levitt
